Hi Everyone. I’m Wondering If My Oversleeping Is Way Abnormal Or Par For The Course.

A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭
Los Osos, CA

I’m 71. I sleep around 11 hours each night. I have follicular lymphoma, diagnosed almost 15 years ago, last chemo (third) six years ago. I have severe fatigue during the day from about 2pm on, so am pretty inactive. I walk 15 minutes each morning. I’m up and down the remainder of the day, clocking about 8 hours sitting on the couch doing this and that, but mostly watching tv. I’ve been a long sleeper since I had myalgic encephalomyelitis beginning in 1986. I thought it went away, but I continued… read more

Lymphoma And The Lungs

A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭
Barrie, ON

I’m curious to know if lymphoma can affect the lungs and if so what stage is it at? The reason being is that I have been experiencing sharp pain in my lower right ribs and it hurts when I inhale and exhale. My ribs are very tender to touch.

I'm the same here my ribs feel like sharp knife piercing it ...I am gonna ask my cancer Dr about it

Lily ask your oncologist about taking a B12 supplement for fatigue. It will help increase your energy. I found the more active I am the easier it is to beat the fatigue.

Is It Possible To Have Relapsed After 2 Yrs Remission Since My IgG Is Low And Have Had 1 IV Infusion?

A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭
Vivian, LA

I have been in remission from follicular & lg B cell lymphoma now for 2 years. This past year I have had multiple infections (sinus) and extremely tired.
All my labs have looked good thus far. However, they recently tested my IgG and it was low. I’ve had 1 IV infusion and suppose to see oncologist again in Dec. nothing has been mentioned to me about relapse as of now.

Could It Be That The 'hot Spot' Seen In My Last PET Scan Is A Result Of Something Else, Ie. Scar Tissue, Inflammation, Not Still Lymphoma?

A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭

I have been receiving Pola-R Chop chemo for DLBCL since May, and had my last dose in September. Interim PET scans still showed some remaining activity. I was really hopeful that my final PET scan would show complete response, but it seems like there may be evidence of 'disease progression', ie. one remaining area of persistent uptake, where the original large lump was located. It is not in a position where a biopsy can be done, so I have to have another PET scan in a few weeks' time to see if it… read more

MaryPearson,
Hi! I've heard and read on this site that some have a hot spot that is scar tissue or inflammation. Good luck on your upcoming scan. Kelly
