Maintenance Program With [[treatment:Rituxan Hycela:5c648bd265df61506ecba9a7]]
I was diagnosed with Follicular Non Hudgkin's Lymphoma last year in November. Had 4 Month Chemo with Bendeka. Now in remission, and was recommended to do a 2 year maintenance treatment with [[treatment:Rituxan Hycela:5c648bd265df61506ecba9a7]]. Anybody else has the same treatment? Is it standard to do it after chemo? What are the long term side effects? I feel fine, but still worry about this
Anybody completed the 2 year? Was any recurrence of the cancer shortly after finishing treatment.… read more
In remission with a B-cell NHL. Only two more treatments and I'll finish 2 years of maintenance with Rituxan Hycela The six minute belly shot is a piece of cake. Mildly uncomfortable, no obvious side effects at all. I know this is not a major factor in your decision, but just wanted to let you know it's not a part to be concerned with as you make your decision.
I was diagnosed over two years ago with follicular non Hodgkin lymphoma.. I did not have Chemo .. as the cancer was in my hip which I had a total replacement. I was immediately treated with Rituxan. I’m currently in remission but I continue with Rituxan every 6 weeks . Last pet scan clear I’m feeling good. Best wishes 🙏
I was 3b Follicular Lymphoma in Sept 2015,... Only did A few weeks of Rituxan beginning in January 2016... Been in remission since.... My treatment decision was from a 2nd opinion from MD Anderson in Houston... I'm so happy about not doing the full on Chemo...
I am just going to start maitenance with Rituximab every 3 months but had 6 treatments along with chemo. I was premeditated so minimal side effects but an acquaintance mentioned my diet should try to stave off neutrophil reaction after treatment to prevent catching circulating viruses.
My husband is starting the maintenance with the Rituxan next week. He has had 6 months of chemo (Bendeka) with the Rituxan. He is stable but not in remission. His oncologist said the 2 years of maintenance would put off any reoccurrence an extra 2 to 4 years. He said it is consensus opinion for those over 70. My husband is 73 will be 74 in Feb, He has Stage 4 Type 3/3a Indolent Follicular NHL. If any of this information helps.
