Night Sweats
my husband just started chemo for lymphoma and is having terrible night sweats all night. He gets completely drenched and must change everything all night long. Does anyone have any suggestion to eliminate a little of this problem. Will the chemo delay these sweats, Appreciate any help you could peovide. Thank you Pat
I was diagnosed 8 months ago and drenching night sweats was one of the first symptoms. I've had no treatment whatsoever, so this is a symptom of the disease and not a side-effect of treatment. My husband bought me a BedJet after about 1 month. It is the single best thing we've done. I can sleep through the night with no sweating or having to change bed clothes. It also has heat functions to warm you and your bed when it's cold. Check it out at BedJet.com. It's not cheap. But, again, the BEST thing we've done for my symptoms. Can't imagine living without it now.
Thank you so much for the information. It makes it a little easier knowing that it is
something to be expected. We both do not get much sleep but hope that the chemo does help the cancer. We are a couple in our 80's but have faith that things will work out. God bless you all
Frank3,
Hi! I had drenching nights sweats in the beginning of my illness. In the hospital I layed on a cooling pad and had a fan running on me too because I was always warm/hot also. After starting chemo the drenching sweats subsided but I still had some sweating for quite awhile. I hope your husband feels better soon. Kelly
