Anyone Have Experience With Rituximab Treatments
Hi friends, I recently had a bone marrow biopsy that showed that 37% of my bone marrow is being affected by the marginal zone lymphoma. My doctor has recommended 4 weekly treatments of Rituximab. Have had multiple rounds. Always have an allergic reaction to first dose, as soon as your throat feels scratchy or itchy let them know, they stop the drip give more steroids and restart slowly. After that it’s all good. Side effects are way less than traditional chemo.
Hope you have good treatment throughout your cycles. I’m having 6 th cycle on 10/13. The last 5 were good with no side effects during treatment but fatigue afterwards. I pray we all listed as survivals in Jesus name.
Thanks Susan, That was my experience too. I had 4 weekly infusions and I’ve had 2 maintenance infusions recently, and tolerate it pretty well. I do have muscle pain but ok otherwise. I feel lucky that’s been the experience so far. The doctor said I am in remission (happy dance). 😉
I had 4 treatment back in 2013 and it put my Small B cell lymphoma in remission.. still there but now getting IVIG infusions for low immune system and they feel it’s from the rituxan.
But…. I’m still in remission!!
All is good!
No reaction at all . I had the premedication also , Benadryl , Tylenol , and I think Decadron
Has Anyone Had Immunotherapy?? Any Side Effects? Thank You.
