Itch Skin And Scalp. Any Thoughts?
Hi all,My question has to do with itchy skin and scalp. I'm in remission with follicular lymphoma, and had itch when I was diagnosed and treated, but not since. All of a sudden it's back.. Any remedies? Cindy
Haven't met a Dr yet that can tell me why or where it is coming from... or has the magic bullet to resolve it. They either ignore it, refer you on, or suggest some new pill or topical tx. Can't use those fancy lotions/potions in your hair. My scalp is the itchiest and most consistent. Could be something to do with allergies - mine seems to get a bit worse when I have dairy. But cheese and butter are not things that I am willing to do completely do without just yet. I have cut back though.
Some things apparently you just need to learn to live with. Bugs me because I know my body is trying to tell me something is off but what are you gonna do?
For body itch, I believe it was someone here that suggested a oatmeal bath - it helps, at least for a bit. When it ramps up, 1/2 tab of Benadryl is my goto. The trade off is it makes me really tired.
Oatmeal bath helped my itching spats. I buy it at the Dollor store.
Try Tylenol.
