Does The Metabolic Test Panel Results Go Bizarre After First Chemo Treatment? My Numbers Are Awful. Is This To Be Expected Or Normal?

Nola,
Yes after your treatments especially your CBC numbers will really go down. I had RCHOP treatments and my numbers hot rock bottom. But, I figured it was working!! They will eventually come back up. Just be careful because your immune system is low and it's easier to catch something. I still double mask even after 2 1/2 yrs. I have had my immune system tested (B and T cells, IGg etc) through my immunology Dr. They still are low. But my Dr from Cleveland Clinic said it takes along time for those to come back to normal. My PCP ordered a complete blood panel with ultrasound of tumors on extremities. Assistant used ultrasound on largest tumors. Second visit was to explain the results of the ultrasound. Dr. Said nothing to worry about. Those just fatty tumors and non-cancerous. She didn't even know I had malignant Melanoma.
