What tests and scans should be done to check if lymphoma had relapsed.
Hey Vonnie! Are you still pickle ball queening?
Hey Suzanne2 , I hope you are able to chat your oncologist for information regarding your particular situation. I have learned through this site, articles and my oncologist that each patient is different as well as each cancer in its response to the treatments. What an interestingly complex journey- huh? hope you both have a fantastic weekend!
Charlene
Hi Suzanne
That's a great question for your oncologist. I have a yearly CT SCAN with contrast now that I'm past the 2 year mark. He advised that a PET wasn't necessary unless the CT showed something. Because my DLBCL stage 4 has a greater chance of coming back within the first 2 years, I did as much reading as I could. The majority of the time the relapse is found because of having symptoms, not usually by a scan. Hope that helps a little. Have a great weekend. Vonnie
Wishing you much luck! ❤️
Hi Charlene2
Oh yes I am! Pickleball has helped regain my stamina.
I'm playing in my first tournament this coming Saturday! I'm doing it because it's for charity! I have nothing to lose. Doesn't matter if I win a game or not. I'll have fun for a good cause.
Wish me luck! Vonnie
Hope all is well 🙏
How does one deal with the "wait and watch" senario, and how often do you get scans?
I like to know what is the standard for an SLL pt with concerning symptoms in the head eyes and ears. Why I never got a pets scan?
Can ultrasound be used to detect if PCMZBCL NHL, complete excision of 1 isolated tumour, 2022, no margins left, if cancer cells remain?
