Hi Pam, I was feeling really sick and was diagnosed Oct 2019 with marginal zone lymphoma (MZL) stage 3 1/2, and several other autoimmune diseases. Got treated with steroids and meds for the autoimmune diseases and felt better. Beginning of 2021 started going downhill and finally got Rituximab and bendamustine starting April. So, yes, oncologist says based on symptoms, labs, CT, and enlarged size of lymph nodes, the treatment will wait until it reaches treatable stage. This has been my story, of course yours will be different, but it is common to wait for treatment for the indolent types. This is a great site to share with others who understand this journey. Best wishes to you.

Hi Pam, I was diagnosed nearly 3 years ago with low grade Follicular Lymphoma and was on “watch and wait” until 2 months ago. I was then given a course of Rituximab and am waiting to see if this treatment helps with my symptoms. If your bloods are okay and you have no symptoms then perhaps this is the way for you to proceed. Hope it all works out for you in the long term. Best wishes John.
