Bone Biopsy
I am 3 years in remission for follicular lymphoma. My red blood cells have been getting smaller in my last couple blood tests. My Oncologist sent me to have a colonoscopy and a endoscopy to rule out gi cancer. Results were good. My Gastroenterologist wondered why he hadn’t done a bone biopsy, now I’m worried as this has been the one thing I didn’t want to do. I thought I should ask people with actual experience. Thank you
I had one 3 weeks ago and I was really worried about it. They numb the small of your back, press around until they find the bone they want, just above your belt line. No pain at all, you feel the pressure of doctor pushing on the bone to do the biopsy but it only took 6 or 7 minutes. Really not a big deal. Good luck my friend.
My husband said the same thing. He really worried a lot for nothing. I’m
Glad yours was easy as well.

Suebee,
Mine was done in my hospital bed. They turned me on my left side and numbed my right hip. I held the nurses hand. I didn't have any pain. Just a little bit of pressure if that. I was shocked that it wasn't anything like I thought it would be. You'll do fine. Good luck with your results. Kelly
the bone biopsy is PAINLESS, so worry about something else, hell getting a blood test is much worse
Thank you! Thats a lot of bone biopsies
