Is Anyone Taking Pramipexole (Mirapex)? It Is An Older Parkinson’s Drug, I Am Taking For Restless Leg Syndrome.
I was looking over some old messages on my chart and came across a message from Neurology back in March 2021 regarding a drop in my white blood cell and platelet count. It stated Mirapex can cause this to happen and suggested doing blood work every 3 months. I completely miss it so I will take blame for that but no one ever followed up with it. Just wondering if anyone else has or is taking this drug.
Dear Liz - My prescription is for 0.5MG tabs. I take 1 tab 3 times a day, then 2 at bedtime. As long as I take them on time, I have complete relief. I so hope this will help you also. Anyone who has never experienced RLS could not believe what suffering we unfortunates have gone through. I wish you sweet relief.
I take gabapentin for my RLS been taking it for many years.
Greetings Liz - I am 79 and I have had RLS since I was a small child. I am a poster boy for Mirapex. Since I started it possibly 10 years ago, as long as I take it on time, I have no RLS. It is a life saver please believe me. I hope you will try it and I sincerely hope it relieves your years of suffering. Very best of luck to you!!
I can’t answer your question. But I was wondering if the Mirapex works for RLS? I’m on Gabapentin. Small improvement. I’ve had RLS for many years. It’s intolerable now! Thank you
Why are you not getting a second opinion from a major cancer center?
