Anyone Here Concerned About The High Out Of Pocket Costs Of Their Treatment? Anyone Refusing Treatment Because Of Cost?
I am 77 years old and I am an American married to a Filipino and living in The Philippines. Right now I am on a Target Therapy drug, Ibrutinib, for Sll. I have been happy with this treatment and have experienced some good results. I wonder everyday if , as I grow older, what I would do if confronted with the need to have more expensive and invasive treatments. My husband is retired and blind and I really don't look forward to facing expensive and, in some cases, invasive and painful procedures. I wish you well!
That is a ridiculously high amount. I thought $6000 was way too much. That is why I have declined future treatments. The Feds need to step up and control these costs.
I have worked out a payment plan with the hospital. $7100 for last year. Get to start all over this year. They have billed my insurance over a half million dollars and I'm not done for another 18 months. Good grief
I am 80 years old, and I donβt see the point in having more treatments as I did Five years ago. They want to do it again, but I have no symptoms, so I refused. Last time it cost me $6000 out of pocket. Never again.
I have no idea,
U drop your job, run out of income and end up on Medicaid, this will cover the cost without any issues.
Otherwise your bills pile up, u are dead broke and the collection Agencies hunt u every day. The Nightmare starts talking.
Or u apply at Financial Assistance program with the Hospital systems cause they offer this and help u out.
