How Does The Cold Affect Your Lymphoma?
Ever since I had two battles with lymphoma, chemo definitely affected my "inner temperature", as I call it. I get cold much easier and seem to be cold more often.
Really I haven’t had any issues I have been in remission since 2020 and I have non Hodgkin lymphoma. By the grace of GOD I’m pretty lucky
Not sure I can answer accurately as each person may react differently. I find I am more sensitive to the cold and chill more easily. However, when I dress well I am able to deal with the cold. The temperature here locally has been 7-18 degrees F for several days but, by dressing appropriately (winter coat, scarf and knit cap) I have been able to go to grocery store and other errands and to go out to eat, The key is to add layered clothing, dress warmly and keep a positive outlook.
I am always cold and the arm that had the 2 surgeries has terrible circulation due to nerve damage. I try to stay in unless I go to work but I wear a mask due to my immune system is very low so now I am off to see an immunologist. Chemo starts again in March so I hope my immune system recoups before that. Keep up all the positive attitudes because it will carry you far. Attitude is a big part of healing. I refuse to let cancer define me. Prayers to all.
I am cold when outside in the Winter and need some warm socks when inside. I live in the desert so that wasn't true before. At night I actually prefer a cold bedroom but I am under warm covers even in the Winter. In the Summer I respond to the heat much more too. I wonder if it's partly about regulating my body temperature and if that's changed. I say that because with exercise I sweat much more than before lymphoma.
