I was diagnosed age 79 with NHL slow growing, in 2022. Oncologist said he has had patients live 20 years with this type. I asked if one can have this with no symptoms pre diagnosis (unless you can find the swollen nodes yourself) and he said yes; so then we really don't know how that affects the 20 years. But I take care of my health and he said I have a lot of gas in my tank......very encouraging

I was told I have classic Mantle cell lymphoma. Do you know if your husband's Mantle cell is indolent? Also what stage? I am stage 4, I had no symptoms other than an enlarged neck lymph node. I am currently going through chemo treatment, my neck lymph node has shrunken and I can't feel the ones in my groin. Mantle cell is treatable, and it's possible you are experiencing several symptoms ranging from night sweats to weird rashes. I looked up symptoms of mantle cell online and also survivor of mantle cell videos. Those gave me hope. Talk to your nurse or doctor if the symptoms become so problematic that you can't function normal day to day. This type of news is the worst and can throw for a loop. I felt that my days were numbered, but I found that they aren't as numbered as I thought. I have a great support system and that has helped me during this time. You are in my prayers.

Hi Rachel my husband has Mantle Cell Lymphoma plus the TP53 mutation. Do you also have the mutation? if so how does it affect you? Just asking as my husband has so many side effects going on and we are wondering if this is “ normal “.

It depends on what subtype you have. I have Mantle cell lymphoma. It's not curable but it is treatable. The doctor told me it is possible to go into remission and live a normal lifespan. I hope I make it to 80. Longevity beyond early 70s doesn't run in my family, my mom died of bile duct cancer at 71 and my dad died at 72. I will pray for you. Surround yourself with nothing but positive people and vibes.
