Amon you are right you will need to maintain your weight during treatment. If you loose 10% of your weight they will stop treatment.
Get you some almonds eat 10-15. 2-3x a day. Even if you aren't hungry eat. You want to increase your calcium intake. Your potassium intake. Vitamins A - B12 - K2 - D Vitamin E helps a-lot too. What ever your body doesn’t use you will naturally get rid of. Treatment depletes these vitamins in your system quickly.
If you get into the habit of this now it will be easier for you to come through treatment stronger.
Sugar is kind of a double bladed sword, as it feeds good cells and bad. All in all it is better to eat clean.
It was once explained to me like this we do regular upkeep and maintenance on our vehicles we should think of our bodies in that respect and we should maintain and take care of our bodies if we thought of it like that we would be much healthier. I don’t know if that makes any sense to you or not but I hope what I’ve shared with you is helpful a lot of my information that I’ve learned I learned when my mother was going to the American Cancer center for, small squamous cell lung cancer mesothelioma
(she was a first responder on 911 the asbestos in the air after the attack was the cause of her cancer.)
I will be watching to see how you do so please keep us informed if you will you’ll be in my prayers.

Im sorry you are dealing with this issue. I don’t have this problem. I have always liked food more than the gym. But work even harder to maintain healthy weight. (Sometimes I eat when im working out lol..)
Have you tried increasing your protein intake? (like those protein bars? Or the protein drinks?) you might want to try this. You can increase your calorie intake still by eating healthy, increase your muscle mass by doing some exercises.
5 lb loss could easily be water weight. Staying hydrated is very important. Maybe try to eat some protein snacks - beef or turkey jerky. String cheese.
These are just suggestions. I hope i have helped you.

Thank you Becky,

The information provided is very helpful . I'll be sure to get supplements, fruits ,and vegetables, almonds to maintain minerals. The car example does make sense and I agree. Thanks for sharing your experience with me and I will keep you posted. I am just getting tests completed at the moment.

Thank you.
I eat 3 meals a day, and exercise. I also have a high metabolism. I try to stay away from added sugars and processed foods currently, but I think weight will be the priority when on treatment so I will have to be more open to other foods. I bought weight gainer shakes. My protein readings are high and that's from eating whole foods. I'm thinking high calorie intake along with meals?
