Should the use of Bluetooth headsets be discontinued after R -chop treatment? Or can it be used during office calls?

Good question! There’s a bit of solid peer-reviewed research out there on health risks of RF-EMF from cell phones and Bluetooth, but there’s also a lot of “zombie-apocalypse-omg-THEY-are-gonna-kill-us-all” garbage. I tend to ignore the latter.

What I’ve found are significant studies from Germany supporting use of Bluetooth headsets over a cell phone (less exposure), even as it’s admitted there are no statistically significant links to increased health risks even from extensive cell use. See https://gigahertz-solutions.com/Wie-schaedlich-....

The best independent study I could find was 2023, which established no link between cancer and consumer-level RF-EMF. See it here: https://pubmed.ncbi.nlm.nih.gov/38153083/

The FCC has a pretty clear stance on consumer electronics RF-EMF exposure (if the product meets regulations, they are generally recognized as safe). There isn’t any government (US or foreign) recommendation for additional personal protection from or shielding of cell phones or Bluetooth devices. (Note there are higher-grade devices used commercially or in the military which operate at much higher frequencies and may yield different results.) See the FCC site with citations here: https://www.fcc.gov/consumers/guides/wireless-d...

Yeah, I study this stuff. I’m a process safety engineer. Or I was, before I got DLBCL and retired. But I still read studies, codes, requirements and recommendations. Particularly those that may affect me. Personally, I’m not concerned with my own exposure; I’m convinced by the evidence it’s minimal and not likely to cause me harm. But I encourage you to read about it, draw your own conclusions and do what works best for you. Good luck, my friend.
