Symptoms Of Lymphoma
I would like to know what are the signs and stages of lymphoma.
Sharing a personal timeline based on my husband's journey:
His first symptom was a small, perhaps dime-sized lump in his femoral groin. Shockingly, he had this lump for nearly three years without significant growth or noticeable B-symptoms accompanying him. He wrote it off as a hernia until this year when he started to experience an increasing intensity of fatigue, lethargy, muscle pain, and growth of the lump.
Accompanying these symptoms, he very quickly developed flu-like symptoms that were not being relieved with medication, antibiotics, or over long periods. Within a month, he stated having shooting pains from the femoral growth site, redness, and rash, overall "unwell" feeling, dizzyness, hot flashes with night sweats, cold spells with shivering, and displayed confusion and emotional outbursts.
After having imaging completed, three other lymph nodes in his abdominal region were noticed to have growths. A biopsy confirmed cancer cells, and he was diagnosed with Hodgkin Lymphoma last Monday.
Within a week, he has declined to the point of having maybe seven to ten good wake hours where he has limited energy, lots of pain, and weakness.
The emotional dysregulation is also a massive factor for him specifically.
These are just symptoms and signs my husband had leading up to his diagnosis and as we await treatment plan, and are specific to him. I thought it may be helpful to share his experience alongside the reputable medical resources linked above!
Thank you. That is very helpful!
