I Have A Problem With Oversleeping. Lately I've Been Sleeping About 10 Hours A Night, And Today I Slept About 12 Hours, Getting Up At 2 PM!

This would be less of a problem if I could get to sleep earlier but I just can't. I don't know if the problem is physical or psychological. I have MCL, diabetes, state 3 kidney failure, and long-term shingles pain, which may be the problem, but I can't be sure. Can anybody help me solve this?

I always have sleep problems after chemo treatments.. I’ve been resorting to prescription sleep pill called Zopliclone..the first few days I take a whole pill than after 4 days or so only 1/2..the second week I try other options like melatonin and marijuana cookies…after a couple of weeks I resume my sleep. I don’t have as many issues as you but would consult your oncologist regarding this..all the best

I've doing that same thing. But I think I must have unclear in my post. The problem is OVERsleeping, not undersleeping. But anyway, this only happens on days when I don't have to get up early, which I still manage to do, although I usually need a nap in the afternoon, which makes it harder to get to sleep at night. See the vicious circle?

Sounds like we have a lot in common. Fortunately I have not needed chemo, as I take Imbruvica in a caplet every night. I've actually always had kind of a problem with fatigue, even before I got all these illnesses. It's just that I used to sleep eight hours or less no matter day it was. But I'm probably making too big a deal out of this and I should probably just count my blessings, since I have not had any symptoms or relapses of my MCL (It's been more than two years), and the other illnesses are under control. Thanks for sharing.

I spent the first 6 months after chemo struggling with sleep. I would wake at 2 or 3 a.m. and not get back to sleep. I was lucky to get 5 hours of sleep, even taking Xnas before bet. For the last month, it has been the opposite. I sleep for 9-12 hours and take a nap in the afternoon. I'm sleepy constantly and don't feel like doing anything. I'm hoping my system finds a balance soon. I don't Have an answer for you Phil6. Just hang tough. I will probably resolve itself. If not, I suggest you see your doctor.
