Hi Everyone. I Have Just Completed Treatment For DLBCL NH Lymphoma. I Love Wine And I’m Wondering If Anyone Out There Continues To Drink It
I was told not to drink alcohol during or after my treatment. Like others have said, alcohol is a toxin and you have had enough toxins in your body with treatment. Even though you have finished treatment, your body is still processing the effects of the chemo and I wouldn't want to upset that by adding another toxin. Just my 2 cents worth.
All the drugs for cancer treatment are hard on the organs, especially the liver. Adding alcohol is just another toxin for your liver to process.
Give it time I love bourbon but had to give it up through treatment. As I recovered I was able to enjoy it again.
I have never been to a doctor that didn't tell me that I should drink alcohol, eat carbs and such. You have gone through cancer treatment. Celebrate!! Live your life!! We only have one go around!!
Got through R-EPOCH in '22 - stopped drinking besides occasional champagne at family events and even rarer glass of wine - the goal is to reduce the intake of poison, no matter positive side effects.
