Members responded to someone newly diagnosed with slow-growing lymphoma who was experiencing fatigue, achiness, and headaches, with the consensus being to consult their doctor since these symptoms can be part of the disease but may also signal changes requiring attention. Several members shared their own experiences, including symptoms like weight loss, night sweats, back and hip pain, and bone involvement, with some emphasizing the importance of requesting comprehensive scans like PET scans and MRIs rather than relying solely on CT scans to catch progression early. A recurring theme was the value of asking lots of questions, staying vigilant with medical teams, and leaning on positivity and prayer to navigate the uncertainty and fear that comes with a lymphoma diagnosis.

Yes I had a few days that were not simply good- but just prepare yourself and ask your Dr questions so you won't be too fearful. It can be overwhelming but positivity and prayer actually help, I am telling you such with much experience ☺️. Best wishes

Hello CharlieFreeman. You answered my question back in May. I have since been to my doctor for the 3 month check up in July. All was ok. I have recently been experiencing low back pain and left hip pain. I have had this over the course of my life ,but for some reason I can' t get relief from it this time. I have been going to PT for 5 weeks. Have you ever heard if this could be related to lymphoma? I hope all is going well for you.

Best to check with your doc. I had (and still have) indolent B cell lymphoma, probably for several years without any diagnosis. My main symptoms were weight loss, drenching night sweats, easy bruising and occasional nose bleeds. But, the literature also lists your symptoms as part of the disease. Looking back now I wish I'd been diagnosed before it became a problem.

Not to worry you unnecessarily, in extremely rare instances indolent lymphoma can turn aggressive, like in something less than 3% of all lymphomas. Mine did, requiring the full on aggressive chemo treatment. The treatment worked for me, I'm currently cancer free, but am told I'll always have the indolent version. So far symptom free, but it's only been a few months. If I were you I'd talk with my doc, better to catch it early.
