Renee, I had zero reaction with once a week for 4 weeks.
Rituxan killed all B cells on 3rd week. That was July 2023. B cells haven’t come back I don’t think, see my oncologist next month. Months later felt more tired in mornings, fingernails weak, some joint pain diagnosed as arthritis. My oncologist wanted to know if I got night sweats, waking to wet sheets etc. I feel slightly warm upon awakening but nothing like that. Rituxan has some effects even a year later but nothing I felt to be serious. My MZL NHL was in my spleen, no lymph glands swollen.

Hi Renee- I was diagnosed with Splenic Marginal Zone lymphoma in March 2023. My oncologist recommended a “watch and wait”. By August I was not sleeping well due to night sweats and was losing 1 lb a week. In September I then opted for Rituximab infusions 1x week for 4 weeks. The first treatment I had terrible allergic reaction which they were able to quell with Benadryl and steroids. Thereafter I had no problem with the infusion just fatigue from the Benadryl. By end of October my energy had returned, my platelets were coming back and I felt much better. My side effects were minimal with the exception of extreme irritability for a day or two after the second and third treatments. As of October I was in “metabolic remission.” Next week I complete my 4th bi-monthly maintenance infusion. No side effects except remission and regaining 25 pounds that I lost. Having Lymphoma seems like a bad dream. I’m hoping it stays away forever. I wish that for you too.

I only had it every 4 weeks for 6 months but also with bendamustine…cumutively energy is very low.. some unpleasant side effects like severe headaches , nausea but they lowered my doses . After7 months I still feel extremely fatique and have researched it can last some time. We are all different and react differently to treatments…
