Doctor Says Spouse Has EMZL But Not MALT Lymphoma. When I Search Online It Always Says They Are The Same Thing. Can Anyone Help?

Yes. That is what I think too. It depends on the location. I know I don’t have malt. I was just surprised that malt was considered extranodal, but I understand why. I thought they were 2 different classifications.

Hi Lucy. Now I am confused. I read the same thing. I was told I had nodal MZL with extranodal components. Never told I had malt. From what I understand malt refers to MZL in gastrointestinal system.
