My Last Treatment For My NHL Was In 2005. My Question... Am I Considered Cured Or In Remission?
BarbaraRoberts,
Hi! I believe it depends on what type of cancer you had. I have/had DLBCL and was told by my oncologist at the Cleveland Clinic that if I get to five yrs she can tell me I'm cured. That I have as much chance of getting it again as anyone else in the U.S. I have been in remission now for 3 1/2years. Congratulations on being in remission for so long!! I hope I can say that too someday!! Kelly
I am also in remission from NHL, though it's only been 1,5 years. What you're saying about being in remission for so long is immensely encouraging for "newbies" like me.
As for your question: Doctors here in Germany are saying that they can't cure my type of NHL (follicular) but that I may live with it to a ripe old age - I'm 59 now. So for me I'd say that I'll be in remission until the relapse happens, which may be in 2 months or never.
Has There Been Any Research In Eastern (asian) Therapy In Conjunction With Oncology Treatments?
Have Done All That And More-still Only Sleep 4 Hrs.What Else Is There To Do. :-(
Chance Of Reoccurence If Responded Well First Time And Am 79 Years Old
