Hi Everyone. I’m Wondering If My Oversleeping Is Way Abnormal Or Par For The Course.

I’m 71. I sleep around 11 hours each night. I have follicular lymphoma, diagnosed almost 15 years ago, last chemo (third) six years ago. I have severe fatigue during the day from about 2pm on, so am pretty inactive. I walk 15 minutes each morning. I’m up and down the remainder of the day, clocking about 8 hours sitting on the couch doing this and that, but mostly watching tv. Yeah, I am having fatigue. I feel it's from my treatment. It takes a lot out of me. I usually have a two hour nap in the morning then I'm fine.

One positive of long sleeps is that your body, which is challenged by your condition and treatment, is using sleep to assist with your body's recovery. Thinking of you, Trudy x

Thanks, Trudy. You know, since I’ve been sleeping longer I notice I feel better than I did when I was sleeping ten. I’ll look at it as a positive thing 🙂
