Ask questions. I used to bring a notebook with me every doctor’s appt. I would write my questions down, then ask my doctor and write down his answers. It was very helpful. Sometimes our fear makes us not ask questions. But the answers might help calm that fear. It is all overwhelming and I knew when I would get in the room I would not remember the questions much less the answers. And remember God is with you through this journey, no matter the outcome. Stay strong and trust in the Lord. 🙏🏻❤️🙏🏻❤️

Hi, haven’t posted in a while & will provide update & add a few recommendations…read most of the posts & I learn something every time I log in & read- thank you for that. I am dealing with MCL & just started cycle/month six of six month clinical trial (CT) at City of Hope in LA. - after being on “watch & wait” for 2+ years. Overall I feel good. Have had ups & downs including two extended hospital stays at beginning of CT. Seems our bodies react differently to oral & infused chemo…
My lessons learned thus far:
• Get best medical care at your disposal
• Get a second opinion
• Stay positive! If you’re not an optimist- become one!
• Learn all you can about your disease from your doctor's, reading, lymphoma Zoom seminars & other patients.
• Stay mentally & physically active- even when it’s hard.
• Eat healthy
• I have really leaned on my faith, family & friends.
• Count your blessings
Book recommendation: “How to be a Cancer Patient” by Jeff Boothman ( a cancer survivor); “Moving Through Cancer” by Dr. Kathryn Schmitz
Sorry for the long post.
Stay strong & God Bless!

After having fought cancer 3 times the most important is listening to the Dr and let them help. Don't be a hero ask for help. It was hard on me to learn that lesson because of my belief system but once I learned it became much more bearable on me. Best of luck.
