MaryGrundorf,
Hi! I too had rchop chemo. I had a more difficult time with #5 & #6. I feel it was a cumulative effect, at least for me. However, some people do really well. Everyone is different. I lost my hair after the 2nd treatment. But, I figured the treatment was working! I hope your husband continues to do well. Kelly

MaryGrundorf,
Hi! I started off with thick long blonde hair. When I knew I was going to lose it I cut it myself at the shoulder level. Then when I started losing it, the bangs went first, I had my husband start shaving my head. He'd shave it down a bit each day. Of course I cried. Then I went bald. Lost most of my eyebrows, lashes and hair on my body. But again, I thought, "The chemo is working killing the cancer!!" My hair started coming back around the end of my 6th treatment. It came back grayish and super curly. They call it chemo curls. My hair now is a bit below my shoulders. But I've had it colored and trimmed now. I finished my chemo on Feb9th of 2021 and by the summer it was super short but I went without a hat. If you have any other questions I would be happy to answer them. Sending you a hug ❤ Kelly

Hello Having received RCHOP myself what I would say is everybody is different. I had no adverse side effects. I took my nausea medicine religiously. That’s how you stay ahead of it, after completing all six treatments I had neuropathy and a little bit of fatigue, but I adapted and I overcame there’s a new normal after all of this that they don’t discuss with you, but chemo take it’s toll on everybody who receives it.

I lost my hair four days after the first treatment, but please keep in mind that prior to that it was less than six months actually I had just finished 49 radiation treatments for a different cancer diagnosis
