Being Yourself Is More Than Enough

Posted on March 22, 2019

"After feeling like I need to be better, stronger, healthier, and in control, I now know I am enough."
-Member of MyLymphomaTeam

Members of MyLymphomaTeam experience the burden of lymphoma physically, emotionally, and psychologically. Sometimes we strive to appear healthier than we are to avoid the stigma of cancer. Other times, we experience relief and support from others who've been in our shoes.

"I'm getting out of the rat race. I'm not hiding my struggles anymore. If I'm tired, I'm going to rest. Hearing from others with lymphoma has taught me that I have to prioritize ME."

Here are recent conversations from members on MyLymphomaTeam:

Had a great day aqua exercises quiet cup of coffee then a walk outside at local park then lunch treat at Dunkin Donuts all peace and quiet reflection and gratitude for life today Still in Remission alleluia.

Having trouble coming to grips with this. I'm doing a watch and wait. It just doesn't feel right. I feel like I should be doing something.

I am having a good day. Being new to the Lymphoma/Cancer community, I look forward to meeting new people that understand what I am going through. Thanks for letting me be part of this journey with you.

Have you found yourself striving to appear as though you have it all together? Have you discovered ways to surround yourself with others who make you feel that you are more than enough? Share what you've learned in the comments below or directly on MyLymphomaTeam.com
