Hi Does Anyone Have Experience Of Treating A Localised Grade 1 FL By Surgically Removing The Tumour Before Treatment Is Needed?
FL grade 1 diagnosed in December 2020, with lesion confined to one tonsil with possibly some spreading to the lymph nodes in the neck (these are swollen). No symptoms apart from this.
The specialist recommends a watch and wait approach (with blood tests twice yearly) but I wonder if this is recommended simply because most lymphomas are NOT that localised and if it in this case it would be better to remove the tonsil and the swollen lymph nodes, such as would be done with a sarcoma type… read more
My husband has Grade 3A follicular. He had the largest lymph node removed. He is on watch and wait for now. He will have scans next month.
