Did Numbness In Hands And Feet Get Worse Post-chemo?
During chemo I always had some numbness in my fingertips and toes. It’s started to go away slowly in my fingers but my toes are actually getting worse and going into the balls of my feet now too. I’ve noticed my toes are also always cold, and the numbness gets more aggravating at night.
Has anyone else experienced anything similar?
My chemo was R-EPOCH
I had 6 rounds of CHOP ending the end of July. I've been experiencing neuropathy throughout treatment but hadn't paid lots of attention to it due to the other symptoms I was experiencing that were much worse. I have noticed over the past 3 months that the neuropathy has gotten worse and what started out in tips of fingers and toes is progressing just like you described. I spoke with oncologist yesterday and they prescribed Gabapentin which i pick up at pharmacy today. I'll let you know how it works out. Stay strong.
@A MyLymphomaTeam Member no worries 😊 I went the time heals all route lol no meds. My fingers are completely back to normal and my feet are like 95% back to normal now too!
@A MyLymphomaTeam Member I was on EPOCH-R so very similar to yours! I wonder if that chemo has anything to do with it. And good point about the other symptoms being stronger so more noticeable.
It’s been about 4.5 months now, and I guess almost 2 months since I made this post and I’ve found the neuropathy has decreased a lot! Hopefully the same happens with you, especially with the meds. Goodluck 😊💪🏽💪🏽
Thanks everyone for your answers 😊😊
