Enlarged Lymph Nodes Deep In Abdomen And Massive Splenomegaly. Biopsy In Spite Of Risk?
The thought is that nodes are too deep to biopsy and possibility of spleen rupture to biopsy that. Everyone seems to agree on that it is SLL from CT scan of my abdomen. What’s your thought? Do you think I should get it?
Good for you, James. Take everything to the guys who deal with this every day. Who cares what your PCP says. It's your life.
What’s Fred Hutch going to say about all this? Those risks seem too high. He showed me the CT. Looking forward to a fresh review of my case.
Unbelievable!
Agreed. Even my PCP had suggested a second opinion but now he’s backed off on that. My PCP told this hematologist doesn’t look for reasons why until symptoms are present.
I would think a hematologist would know all the symptoms. Mine asked all kinds of questions before he discussed possible causes. Then, he was dead on. Maybe your guy was absent the day they discussed lymphoma in med school. Don't go to him again!
For Those Who Are "watchful Waiting", How Long Have You Waited Before A Biopsy Was Performed Or You Began Seeing Symptoms?
