Hair Falling Out
When your hair started falling out how did you deal with it? Did you just let it fall out naturally or did you take some clipper and cut it off? I don't know what to do it's falling out in clumps which I find kind of gross. I want to just use clippers but I don't want to hurt any regrowth process . Ideas?
It was devastating to loose my hair. I think this was when I came to terms Yeah I have cancer, cancer doesn't have me. I took ownership and had my head shaved that night. My terms. No I was not happy, I tried wigs, that is not me. I started my chemo in October, was going through my treatments through the winter so wearing a beanie worked out.
There were times after my treatments walking out to the car when I would take my beanie off that I actually felt victorious against cancer.
I read this article by a professional hair stylist and cancer survivor and decided to cut my hair short the week after I got chemo, before it could fall out. I’m so glad I did. I found a lovely local hairdresser who is also a cancer survivor to give me my chemo cut. She agreed with everything in this article, so I’m using this guidance. BTW - I love my short chemo cut; no regrets at all. I had really long hair before.

Thanks guys that's how I feel like I want to control it not let it just slowly happen to me.
Yesss Ajaya!! If I have to do chemo and lose my hair I know I’d do the exact same. Also the offering. I love it!!
I had R-Chop on Wed cut it Friday and completely gone by Sun. Most places will cut your hair short if u tell them u are undergoing chemo.
