I Have Been Diagnosed With Large B Cell With C-MYC Rearrangement. I Have No Symptoms, Don’t Feel Sick And PET Scan Was Clean. What To Do?
Doctor is recommending intensive treatment in hospital. I’m very concerned about this treatment as I have no symptoms, clean pet scan and blood test looks good. What should I do?
Hi Chris and thank you for your response. Now after the third pathology report they are calling it, favor high grade B-cell Lymphoma with C-MYC rearrangement. Second pathology report was calling it .Burkitt's Lymphoma. My Cancer doctor said he had never seen this before and wouldn't object if I wanted to get a second opinion.. He is one of the top Doctors at UofL Brown Cancer Center in Louisville. So, we are getting another opinion this week. I'd like to find someone that has treated this before. What was your treatment like? Did you have to be in the hospital for the treatment?
I don't want to give medical advice as not a doctor, but is this diffuse large b cell? If so, and if anything like my experience, it's often aggressive and symptoms can come on quickly. I wish I had caught mine earlier and started treatment (chemo Pola R CHP) earlier. If it was me I would want to go hard and early with treatment. I don't think you want to wait until it's causing you distress.
I hope your are ok ❤️
