Preventing Hair Loss?

When I started chemo there was a lady patient who would wear a type of helmet that her husband kept in an ice chest. She would don the helmet for a while, then the husband would replace it with another from the ice cooler. There is a school of thought that such icing can mitigate hair loss. Here, the advice of oncologists is best. I went without icing (in fact so did all those with whom I went through chemo) , lost my hair, only to have it re-emerge after chemo even better than before!

Just grabbing for straws. Knew the answer already. Acceptance is the key, like all other side effects. Thanks for the reply though. Friend did that cold cap cooling and it worked for her. Too much trouble for an old man like me! 😀
