Last June I was diagnosed with Diffused Large B Cell Lymphoma transformed from CLL. I had discomfort in my right pelvic area when walking and minor swelling. A PET scan confirmed DLBCL. A genetic type test shows I had the germinal center subtype. My oncologist immediately started chemo therapy (R-mini CHOP). After 3 cycles of chemo, she increased my dosage to full R-CHOP. After the 4th cycle I lost most of my hair except for my mustache. After the 6th cycle, a PET scan showed I was in remission. Two weeks ago I completed 18 radiation treatments. The purpose of the radiation treatments was to neutralize cancer cells that may have evaded chemo and the PET scan. While this diagnosis is alarming, there is light at the end of this tunnel. I walked daily through chemo and radiation treatments. I did not experience typical side effects such as nausea, fatigue, mouth sores and weigh loss. In addition to hair loss, I did have dry mouth. I have found that the Lymphoma Research Foundation and Leukemia and Lymphoma Society have excellent information on CLL and to a lesser extent DLBCL. I hope this helps.

I had Richter's transformation from CLL/SLL. I also had Large B-Cell Lymphoma. Tumors became very aggressive and underwent an Allogeneic
Stem Cell Transplant. Was clear for 4 years, but now one tumor has resufaced. We are waiting and watching this single tumor.

I had Richter’s transformation cll and lymphoma and now only have large B cell lymphoma. If his treatments don’t work then try clinical trials.but hopefully the chemo will work on him.

Yes it is, was also wandering if anyone else has been diagnosed with it. My husband has just been diagnosed with it 2 weeks ago. I have been doing quite a bit of research and from what I’ve read, it’s a rare complication of CLL. Thank you for your response
