My husband has it since 2017. He had chemo and they are checking every 3 months to see if he needs anything more. Thank you so much for the information. This blood cancer is thankfully one of the long lasting ones. It is great they continue to work on better treatments. Good health to you. Ceil

Ceil, I was diagnosed with WM in the fall of 2018. My initial treatment was 6 infusions of Rituximab and Bendamustine. This shrunk my tumor considerably and brought my blood numbers back into line. In early 2022 my tumor began to grow again. I began taking Zanabrutinib-trade name Brukinsa-orally in March of 2022.

It has reduced the size of my tumor and brought my blood numbers back into line. I take 2 large capsules 2 times a day for a total of 4 capsules.

After about 8 months of Brukinsa my blood calcium spiked up to a very high level, and I was experiencing symptoms of Hypercalcemia. I took a 90 day reprieve from the Brukinsa and those symptoms went away.

I am currently taking the Brukinsa with no side effects.

I hope that this answer is helpful, and I hope that you get great results!!
