My Last Chemo Treatment Was In July And I Feel Weaker Than Ever I Am So Fatigued And Don't Know Why
I had Non-Hodgkin's lymphoma stage 4 and I am now cancer free it's been 3 months since my last chemo treatment and I am still very fatigued and weak On My Feet if anybody knows how long this last please let me know I am not myself and it is scaring me please help
Fatigue is to me the worst side affects of blood cancer, then itching is next!
I want to add that I had 8 chemos and after those my Oncologist told me that's all he could do for me. Said to go to University of Wisconsin and get the T-cell transplant. I still had 3 lumps but I felt they were shrinking. So I declined it and continued with exercise and eating right. And most of all left it up to God and the power of his word to heal me. Faith and Belief in him. Now after almost 2 years from the start of this, my blood test came back normal! Lumps are gone! Be a light unto him and like me you will live a natural life. Keep fighting always!
David, I had what you had. Stage 4. I couldn't walk 30 ft. without stopping. So I took a portable stool with me and unfolded it when I needed it. You have to fight, fight, fight all the time to get better. For me it started with walking to end of driveway. 100' ft. maybe. Then 1/2 block them 1 block them around the block and so on till I can now Kayak 11 miles in 3.5 hours, hike with my dog morning and night. The key for me was to fight and push yourself to do better and do it. You have to fight to get better. I wish you the best and know you can be like me. In Jesus' name I pray for you.
Took me 1.5 years after chemo, stage iv. To get my stamina back. I continued napping for most of that time.
It does take time. Vonnie
Great question! Fighting the fatigue is challenging. I have been an avid walker for years, walking about 2.5 miles 4-5 times a week. I had my last chemo in March of 23 and am just getting back to walking my 2.5 miles about 4 times a week. I still get bouts of fatigue occasionally. Walking has been a life saver for me. I am not out to run a marathon.....just the walk is invigorating, helps clear my mind (I still get a little brain fog), and motivates me to keep going. I am in remission and hopefully remain so. Try walking. It may be very therapeutic! Good luck. My prayers are with you!
