Hi All, How Soon After Treatment Can One Go Outside For Jog On A Public Track, And Did Anyone Avoid The Supermarket After Treatment?
I did everything like normal, I did what I wanted. My terms not Cancer. I had cancer - cancer didn't have me. I took care of my health as I always have. You have to do what you are comfortable doing. Be alert to your surroundings, of course protect yourself. Being outside is good fresh air sunshine are awesome. Secluding yourself can be depressing, just be mindful. I understand the concerns. ππ»ππ»
The treatment cause debilitating fatigue. I push through for walks and swims but am unable to do what I used to. When treatments end I will do retraining for strength and stamina. Iβm over 70 but donβt let myself go
Hi Amon
I agree with Becky. So whatever you can. However, listen to your body. This is not the time to be pushing further on the track. Maybe fast walking instead of jogging. Chemo is damn poison. But it saved my life. I could hardly walk down the driveway, however I did have a major surgery, then chemo! Everyone is different.
P.s. during chemo, I masked up at the grocery store....oh...but the effects of covid were still in play. I still mask up if I feel I should. π best wishes Vonnie
Great question Amon! Iβd like to expand on that..my husband has DLBCL, starting chemo on Tuesday. Should he be avoiding public places, large groups, once he starts chemo?
