A person must do what works for them. You can be active and be proactive protecting your health.
My first diagnosis was just after covid. I am a first Responder Firefighter Paramedic RN FNP I worked through the pandemic, dealt w a lot of isolation quarantine stuff. I am very familiar w the immune flags. Im very cautious about my surroundings.
I also was diagnosed w Large Diffuse B Cell Lymphoma
I had RCHOP 21 chemo presently I am 16 months post chemo No Cancer / or activity CR mode now (complete Recovery)
W The first diagnosis HERS2-
I had radiation and now take Anastrozole. (My only med now)
My treatment was at a time when there were restrictions still going on. During my chemo the cancer center had a mask requirement.
Getting outside for fresh air and some sunshine is a good thing. Eating healthy and hydrated and being active not sedentary is extremely important. Cancer is a mental battle, we get that strength from our support systems family friends church and the people we encounter during our journey.
One must feel comfortable in their surroundings and environment. In time you will see what specifically works for your husband. We are here to help each other.
So please if you will share w us. Thx. 🙏🏻

Kathy17,
Hi! I had RCHOP chemo and DLBCL also. I've been in remission for 3yrs. I restricted all visitation and activities. My immune system was so low because of treatment. I protected myself and my health during this important time. I didn't want to get ill and puck up something else during having chemo and cancer. I totally agree with your husband. It worked for me. Fortunately, I stayed healthy other than not feeling well from the cancer/chemo. I know it's difficult to stay isolated, but it's worth it. Good luck to you both. Kelly
