I Am Curious To Know How Many Have Relapsed From NHL. Mine Came Back About 10 Years After Battling Defused Large B Sell NHL. Second Time Was
in remission again.
First diagnosed with NHL in my brain in 2006. Had surgery to remove a large tumor.
Came back 2 years later in my parotid gland and had 15 radiation treatments.
Thought that would be the end of it but it relapsed in 2012 in my brain. Successful chemo treatments over 2 years .
Then out of the blue, in 2013 my annual scan showed a mass on my left kidney. This wasn't NHL but a clear cell carcinoma that resulted in removal of the Kidney.
In 2018 NHL back in my brain. Successfully treated with radiation.
Finally in 2021 kidney cancer back in my right kidney and the tumor was removed leaving me with 15% kidney function.
It's been quite a journey but thanks to a great team here at Cancer Care Manitoba I'm doing fine. Dealing with constant fatigue but I guess that's to be expected.
Take care.

Seems the post got shortened. I was saying the second time was low grade NHL and was relatively easy to get through compared to the first time around.
