Follicular Lymphoma. Finished 6 Mo With B+R Infusion. Once Remission Ends, Choice Stem Cell Or Car T. Pros/cons Of Each?? Any Insight?
I had car t offered as a treatment but to many side effects to suit me I am 76 years old and am on Rutxian every other month for now
It depends where it failed, the numbers on the lab. There are new treatments doing better than either you mentioned. It is slow growing and they may or may not treated it. So many variables. You need that answer when and if it fails. The moonshot is going on and the treatment could well be something not yet approved. I strongly suggest the book Cancer, stress and mindset and Qigong.
Hi Rob,
Neither is a walk in the park .Car T
Is a one time deal .Usually one week in the hospital for a week for side effect monitoring.
BMT you are in the hospital longer some times a month .Complications such as infections or graft vs Host is a serious complication .If your over 60 Cart is the way to go .However always get an opinion from one or more oncologist.I have seen CArt t work after Bmt failure
Best regards
Frank
