Following Rituximab Infusions For Non-Hodgkins Lymphoma, Do Symptoms Such As Fatigue And Itching Go Away?
Splenic Marginal Zone Lymphoma. Awaiting infusions of Rituximab in July.
I have finished 6 cycles and the fatigue does start to subside but does not go completely away . Other than that I am not experiencing any other issues
Thank you Rebecca. I hope you can get better diagnostic help and treatment for your problems. I understand the frustration of being heard by doctors. Younger doctors seem to be trained to listen more. Good luck!
My fatigue has improved overall but it still comes and goes. If I get an infection, can't seem to fight it off without ABTs and it sets me back for a while. Also, the itching and consistent hair loss have continued to this day (2.5+ years). FYI - I did not opt to get Rituximab, although it was offered and still remains an option. I did have major surgery because the NHFL caused an obstruction. My 1st two oncos either ignored those symptoms or denied that they had anything to do with the NHFL. I have some other health issues but still feel strongly that those two symptoms are Lymphoma related (and exacerbated by thyroid and malnutrition/malabsorption GI issues). I honestly feel like they don't believe me, feel I am exaggerating or think it's all in my head.
