I Was Diagnosed With Transverse Myelitis 2021. I Donated Spinal Fluid To A Research Study. B Cell Was Found.. Is Normal After Three Years?
Hi Deborah, Welcome to the club. I was diagnosed with CLL about 14 years ago. CLL and SLL are the same disease with same or similar treatment options. Only difference is CLL (Chronic lymphocytic leukemia) manifests more in the blood whereas SLL manifests more in the lymph glands. First thing I would recommend is that you sign on to cllsociety.org . That should be the number one source for reliable and current information. Also there you will find a list of support groups (all held virtually on Zoom ) which will enable you to interact with other patients and support givers. Also LLS.org is a great resource although more general to all blood cancers as opposed to CLL/SLL specific. While at LLS.org check out the First Connections program. This can out you in phone contact with a caregiver (usually spouse) (and your husband with another patient) who have been dealing with an SLL diagnosed for a longer time. I participate in both the support groups and First Connections and they are both extremely helpful. Any specific questions and concerns post here, this group list is great!
