Anyone Have Injections To Increase Neutrophils? How Did It Go?
I'm not sure if this is relevant but I had Neulasta OnPro (patch with small needle) the day after each of my six R-CHOP infusions. I had no side effects, other than what I was experiencing with the chemo. I hope that yours goes well.
How did you make out? those shots brought my wbc up to 19, so I'd say they work like a charm <3
I got pegfilgrastim via injection after 3 of my 6 chemo rounds, and filgrastim after one round. Most notable side effect was a rash in my face on the first and second day after each injection. Slight pain in my back, too, but totally bearable with a light pain killer. Had slight heart irregularities once but I'm not sure if they were related to the treatment. Of course I tried to be extra careful not to get exposed to germs and viruses and the like during this period as my leukocytes were so low. Good luck!
I'm sorry I don't know anything about that.
I am currently taking Filgrastim, I can't remember the brand. My white cells are at .2, so taking three shots and going back on Monday for more blood work. Only real side effect is some soreness in my bones. I've only had one round of rchop, next one is Friday, if my count will go up.
