My spleen is described as massive. Mine was discovered when I had a hernia repaired, then bloodwork revealed the lymphoma. If I had not had surgery I would never have known until………?

I, also had an enlarged spleen. I had been in remission from DLBCL and had routine blood work. Oncologist was concerned about my spleen. Next check up, blood work got worse. Then a scan, and next a biopsy. Biopsy was inconclusive, but my spleen was enlarged and infested with tumors. My spleen was about five times larger than normal. Cancer of the spleen is not very common. I trust my oncologist with my life. I had it removed, with complications. I went from outpatient surgery to fifteen days in the hospital. MaryScott, you need to do what makes you comfortable.

Hi and welcome to the site. Everyone on here is so kind, supportive and helpful. I too have/had DLBCL and had treatments of RCHOP chemo. I've been in remission for 2 1/2years. My spleen was enlarged too when I was diagnosed. I hope you are feeling well. Kelly
