Started Pola R-CHP, Chemo Brain Seems To Be Hitting But So Far Feeling Good. When Can I Expect To Feel Bad?
JeffBertrand,
Hi! I had treatments of RCHOP chemo. I felt that for me it was a cumulative effect. The roughest for me was #5 & #6. But, there are people that do super well too. I hope you have a relaxing evening. Kelly
I started my treatments a year ago. I had an allergic reaction to rituxan on the first infusion (chills & pain), the rest of the chemo meds seemed to cause fatigue. I was feeling pretty well for a few days when, on day 5 after infusions, I collapsed due to massive blood loss. It turns out I had some small spots of lymphoma in my small intestine that shrunk so quickly with my first treatment, it caused major internal bleeding. Thankfully, my spouse responded quickly, and all emergency responders and both hospitals worked very diligently to give me blood and stop the bleeding. The rest of my infusion treatments went smoothly, with some side effects like nausea, fatigue, brain fog, weakness. I've been in remission since March 2024, and those side effects have been improving. They seemed to be cumulative, and worst around #6.
I wish you well with your treatment journey!
Funny you should mention chemo brain , I have been in treatment for MCL since last September and I think I am starting to get that. Sometimes I do have a difficult time recalling names words and numbers
Most People Here Seem To Get R CHOP For Their First Treatment For DLBCL. But I Was Given Pola R CHP First. Anyone Else Get Pola R CHP First?
