Hi Does Anyone Have Experience Of Treating A Localised Grade 1 FL By Surgically Removing The Tumour Before Treatment Is Needed?

A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭
Greater London, UK

FL grade 1 diagnosed in December 2020, with lesion confined to one tonsil with possibly some spreading to the lymph nodes in the neck (these are swollen). No symptoms apart from this.

The specialist recommends a watch and wait approach (with blood tests twice yearly) but I wonder if this is recommended simply because most lymphomas are NOT that localised and if it in this case it would be better to remove the tonsil and the swollen lymph nodes, such as would be done with a sarcoma type… read more

Hi All, I Am Fairly New To The Group.

A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭
Lenexa, KS

I have NH low grade in my chest. Awaiting a decision on treatment. I have a condition that is very intermittent where the tumor area causes discomfort and at the same time my body gets tingly. Some areas seem numb. Anyone experienced this? The cancer doc sent an anti- seizure. Seems like a lot of side affects listed. I haven’t tried it but after a few “good” days, now the tingling. Tumor hitting peripheral nerves?

Has anyone experienced pain in their chestbone/sternum after chemo? I've had my 3rd treatment and it just started really hurting. Should I contact my care clinic right away? It feels like the actual bone that's hurting and only in my chest area

What Have Been Your Rituximab Side Effects?

A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭
Vancouver, BC

I, who am allergic to nothing, had a sneezing session that lasted about 20-30 minutes during my first infusion. My nose stuffed up and I could barely breathe. It all went away immediately when the nurse flushed the IV.

Then came the sub-q injection the next week. All was fine until 3 days later. I woke up with pain and fever on my abdomen, below the injection site. The area was swollen about the size of a deck of cards and painful to touch
The following morning (yesterday) it was more painful… read more
