Let’s Talk Lymphedema…❓

A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭
Pensacola, FL

Has anyone experienced lymphedema either before chemo or during? What did you or your doctor do for it? Any at home tips?

🦵 I have had it in my left leg now for about a month and it’s progressively gotten worse. It’s painful to the touch and my mobility is severely limited. 🙁

Linda,

I have had great success with PT and the chemotherapy on my lymphedema. They wrapped it well for about a couple weeks and it’s responded so well. I can now walk! Praise God. It’s been amazing… read more

Follicular Lymphoma And Covid-19

A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭
Harrisonburg, VA

I completed chemotherapy (Gazyva and Bendeka) for follicular lymphoma last October and have been in remission. Four weeks ago (August 8) I contracted Covid-19. I started taking Paxlovid on August 9, which stopped the Covid immediately, but then symptoms (mostly head cold-like with moderate fever) came back on August 15. Antigen test was weakly positive, but subsequent tests have given a strong positive response. I still have cold-like symptoms with no fever, but with fatigue. When I first… read more

I would think it would definitely be helpful to confer with your oncologist on this. Anything that comes up that involves lymph nodes or cancer, it’s best to involve them.

Did Numbness In Hands And Feet Get Worse Post-chemo?

A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭
Hamilton, ON

During chemo I always had some numbness in my fingertips and toes. It’s started to go away slowly in my fingers but my toes are actually getting worse and going into the balls of my feet now too. I’ve noticed my toes are also always cold, and the numbness gets more aggravating at night.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar?

My chemo was R-EPOCH

I received RCHOP, and felt that at the end of the treatment, but it went away after the treatment.

How Long Do The Side Effects Last After Completing 6 Cycles Of BR Chemo/immunotherapy?

A MyLymphomaTeam Member asked a question 💭
Madison, WI

I just finished 6 cycles of BR chemo/immunotherapy. I'm still having several lasting side effects: mainly fatigue, nausea/vomiting, incontinence and hip pain.
My question is: how long after completing chemo do these side effects last? When should I hope to feel better?

Thanks for any insights or experiences you can share

A MyLymphomaTeam Member

We're you getting Neulasta shots after your treatments every month? I had no appetite and kind of a yucky feeling for about a week after each round of B/R.
